As you know, we traditionally do an ARES "Training Day" on a Saturday
morning in midwinter.

As a topic for this year, Louise Dauphin, KB1IEF, a professional EMT,
has graciously agreed to show us one of the Phippsburg ambulances, and
all the stuff in it.

Louise's demo will be at the Phippsburg Fire Station on Saturday Jan 30 at 10:30 am.

After Louise's demo, Phippsburg Fire Chief Topman has kindly agreed to show us around the Fire Station. Notwithstanding the fact that we are all familiar with the much more elaborate Cooks Corner Fire Station, this is still valuable exposure. You never know which Fire Chief may need our help (either as CERT or ARES), and it is useful for us to know both the capabilities and limitations of Fire Departments in the smaller Towns.
